Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica is the home of the loudest monkey in the world. The common name is howler but the locals call them “congos.” They often sleep in the trees next to our bed and begin to howl at about 4:30 A.M. To some this might seem like a nuisance but my husband and I just smile because it reminds us how happy we are to be here instead of south bound on the 405 freeway in L.A. The male howler has an enlarged hollow bone near his vocal chords that amplifies his calls. Howlers are the largest and most aloof of the primates in Manuel Antonio. They choose the tallest trees and spend most of their time in the upper branches. They live on a leafy diet, which doesn’t provide an abundance of energy, so they rest and sleep a lot. Their black fur, the distance factor, and back lighting from the sun in the trees make them a challenge to photograph, so bring a zoom lens for your camera.

Costa Rica has four species of monkeys: the Mantled Howler, White-faced Capuchin, Red-backed Squirrel and Spider. All were once found in Manuel Antonio until a yellow fever epidemic in 1953 wiped out the spider monkey population. If you spend a week here you’ll likely see the three species that remain.

The capuchin’s local name is “Cara Blanca,” (white face). They’re the most dexterous of all primates. They manipulate objects so well there’s a nonprofit organization called Helping Hands based in Boston that trains capuchins to help paraplegics and quadriplegics. They can brush your teeth, scratch an itch, feed you with a straw, and even pop Casablanca into the DVD player.

The endangered red-backed squirrel monkey, locally known as “mono titi,” is the smallest of Costa Rica’s primates. This particular subspecies only exists in and around Manuel Antonio National Park and their estimated population is a mere 1300-1800. What makes them unique is their peaceful nature. Neither males nor females appear to be dominant over each other, whereas the other subspecies of squirrel monkeys squabble on a regular basis. Like the capuchin, red-backed squirrel monkeys live on a diet of fruit, insects, leaves and stems. They often play on our roof and on occasion mate on our terrace table.

An important issue with monkeys in Manuel Antonio is that tourists feed them. I once saw a tourist hand a potato chip to a capuchin. The capuchin slapped his hand, snatched the bag of chips and ran up a tree. Besides being outwitted by a monkey, this is wrong on so many levels. Irregular feeding makes monkeys aggressive toward humans as they look to them for food. Recently after my daughter and a friend had gone souvenir shopping a capuchin tried to snatch their bags no doubt assuming there was food inside. Feeding monkeys disrupts their normal foraging patterns as they gravitate toward the “easy” food. Now, I’m not saying monkeys are going to chase you around town, this was a highly unusual situation, but why forage for food when someone will deliver it?

Feeding monkeys can also be fatal to them. Humans can transmit diseases from their hands to monkeys who lack immunity. Although there are education programs in place this continues to be a problem. Unaware tourists arrive every day. Sometimes they see others feeding the monkeys and think it’s all right. Why not be part of the solution?

So now that you know feeding the monkeys is bad for them, how do you find them when you’re visiting densely forested Manuel Antonio? They can often be found by the beach around dusk as they head for their favorite trees to nest for the night. They can be found in the hillsides near your hotel or vacation rental home. You can use techniques I learned from orangutan trackers in Borneo. Be still, watch and listen. First, watch for the movement of branches in the trees. Next, listen for food falling to the forest floor, then for each monkey’s distinctive vocalization. Squirrel monkeys can sound like chirping birds; capuchins can sound like mewing kittens. As for Howlers, well, there’s no mistaking them. Their thunderous vocalizations will rock your world – literally.

Rediscover your penis by learning more about it. This article reveals some interesting facts about your penis that have been revealed by medical experts. Men and even women will find this article interesting as well as informative.

1. Your penis has a mind

Urologists opine that your penis has a mind as well. You know, your penis does not always listen to you. For instance, at time you get erection when it may not be appropriate. Similarly, you get erections even while you are asleep and might not necessarily be dreaming about sex. Heavy lifting or straining to have a bowel movement can also cause an erection. Even sexual arousal usually is not voluntary. The conscious mind does play a role but a lot of sexual arousal goes on in the sympathetic nervous system. Moreover, your penis may also shrink without your consent. For instance, exposure to cold water or air makes your penis shrink. Now, this is again the doing of the sympathetic nervous system. You certainly do not wish your penis to be shrunk.

This means you have less command over your penis than other body parts like your arms and legs. Your penis does not react on your commands but it answers the reflexes received from the nervous system which is not always under your conscious control.

2. Your penis may be a grower or a show-er

Though these are not medical terms and aren’t scientifically established, men still place a lot of significance to this aspect of the penis. Your penis will be labelled as just a show-er if it doesn’t gain much length with an erection. On the other hand, a penis that gains a lot of length with an erection is said to be a “grower.” In a study conducted on 80 men, researchers found that increases from flaccid to erect lengths ranged widely in men, from less than a quarter inch to 3.5 inches longer.

An analysis of more than 1000 measurements taken by a sex researcher shows that shorter flaccid penises tend to gain about twice as much length as longer flaccid penises. The data also showed that most penises aren’t extreme show-ers or growers. In fact, about 12% of penises gained one-third or less of their total length with an erection and only about 7% penises doubled in length when erect.

3. Your penis is shaped like a boomerang

Researches, who have studied men and women having sex inside an MRI scanner, say that the penis is shaped like a boomerang. You may not be aware of this because just like a tree which has roots inside the soil, your penis is tucked up inside your pelvis and attached to your pubic bone through suspensory ligaments. These ligaments also serve the function of making an erection sturdy.

4. Your penis can get broken

Even though there is no “penis bone,” you can break your penis if you do not use it cautiously. Once you suffer from a penile fracture, you may experience a terrible pain and hear a pop or snap and your penis turns black and blue. Penile fracture is rare and is mainly reported in younger men because their erections tend to be quite rigid. You may get a penile fracture if you thrust too hard and fast during sex and your penis slams into your partner’s pubic bone. Also, your penis may get broken if your partner moves wildly while on top of you.

Older men may suffer from a related condition called Peyronie’s syndrome. This is when your penis bends too much a certain way during sex, small tears in the tissue can form scars and the accumulated scar tissue gives the penis an abnormally curved shape. Therefore, you should never use your penis too roughly.

5. Most penises in world are uncut

Only 30% of males aged 15 and up are circumcised, this was estimated in a report conducted by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS).

About 70% of all circumcised males in the world are Jewish and Muslim. The United States has the highest proportion of males circumcised for non-religious reasons. A whopping 75% of non-Jewish, non-Muslim American men are circumcised. The CDC estimates that about 65% of all newborn boys are circumcised in the US. While in Canada, only 30% males are. In the UK, it’s 20% and in Australia it’s merely 6%.

The practice of circumcising baby boys for medical and cosmetic reasons has become controversial in the US. But recently the WHO and the UNAIDS recommended circumcision for adult men, based upon evidence that men with circumcised penises have a lower risk of being infected with HIV.

The Betta splendens or by its common name Siamese Fighting-Fish is a beautiful hardy tropical fish. This Siamese Fighting-Fish is from the Mekong river basin in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia (South-East Asia). Usually lives in shallow waters with little water movement, like Rice-Paddies. In nature, this specie’s males have shorter fins that those we usually see in shops, these are called by the Thai “Plakad” (meaning- “Fighter”), and are used in Thailand for show-fights (just like roosters).

Although their fins are short, they are still bigger than those of females. These males are more aggressive than long-finned males, but they are less susceptible to infectious diseases and have faster ability to recover after fights. Of the long-finned strains, there’s the most known Veil-tail, which are the commonest in shops. More appreciated tail forms are the Round-tail, Fantail, and Delta-tail. All these tail forms can appear in two fin forms- Double-tail and Comb/Crown-tail. Double-tail has a long dorsal fin, and their caudal fin is variably divided to two lobes.

Comb-tail has fin rays that grow variably longer that the fin’s soft tissue, resembling a comb. Crown-tail is a Comb-tail with equal and symmetric lengths of fin rays and soft tissue. Another famous strain and probably the most famous is the Half-moon. This is a fin form, appearing mostly on Delta-tails, in which the caudal fin is spread to 180o, while flaring. Aside of it, the fish must have other criteria to be considered as a true Half-moon.

God’s Original Design for Man ? To live out of revelation knowledge.

God designed man to be a daily recipient of revelation knowledge. In the Garden of Eden, man walked and talked with God. Adam and Eve were receiving revelation knowledge daily from Almighty God. Jesus also demonstrated this life-style of doing nothing out of His own initiative, but only what He heard and saw the Father doing (Jn. 5:19,20,30).

Satan’s Temptation – That man descend to reasoned knowledge.

Satan entered God’s perfect plan with a temptation: Man could become like God, and man could know right from wrong. Man would no longer need to receive revelation from God, but he could turn to his own mind and he himself could know ? separate and apart from God (Gen. 3:5).

In suggesting to man that he could become like God and he could know, satan was suggesting to man two things: self consciousness, and reliance upon reason or rationalism as a way of establishing truth.

Mankind accepted this lie and fell from revelation to reasoned knowledge. As a result, he was cursed. Part of that curse was that God cut man off from the Tree of Life (Gen. 3:22), where Jesus was the vine and man was a branch and there was a flow of revelation through man on a daily ongoing basis (Jn. 15).

Moreover, man soon learned that by living out of reason or knowledge he is not able to fulfill God’s purposes for his life, because man’s thoughts are not God’s thoughts, nor are man’s ways God’s ways. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are God’s thoughts higher than man’s thoughts (Isa. 55:9). Man was told not to depend upon his own thoughts (Prov. 3:5)

Serving God using reasoned knowledge results in catastrophe.

Try as hard as man would to cooperate with the visions that God would give to him, it only brought a curse rather than a blessing.

Abram and Sarai thought and reasoned together as to how they could bring forth the completion of the vision that God had given to them of blessing the earth through their seed. However, the result of their thoughts was Ishmael. Ishmael was rejected by God, and brought a curse for thousands of years to come (Gen. 16, 17).

Moses knew in his heart that God had called him to be a deliverer of his people from Egyptian bondage. Using his own thoughts and efforts, he killed the first Egyptian he saw hurting an Israelite. God rejected this offering of reason and self-effort from Moses, and took him to the backside of the wilderness for 40 years, where He taught him to see vision and to hear His voice. Then God brought Moses back out of the wilderness as a Spirit-anointed leader who moved by revelation knowledge and not through reason.

Paul was a man who had the best-reasoned religious education of his day. It was built squarely around sound theology ? about who God is and what God wanted of His people. However, this training missed the element of revelation knowledge. Then God entered into Paul’s life with revelation knowledge on the Damascus road, and Paul followed up this initial experience with an additional three years of private tutoring by the Holy Spirit, alone in the Arabian Wilderness ? most likely at Mount Sinai (Gal. 1:17,18).

Paul then compared the two kinds of knowledge he had received ? first with reasoned, theological biblical understanding, and then with knowledge that came from revelation and intimacy and from the Spirit of God. He said that he counted his first rational education as dung (Phil. 3:1-10) when compared with the value of knowing (ginosko) God (having intimacy and revelation knowledge from God).

Bible College Weighed in the Balance ? Reason versus Revelation Knowledge

Each class offered by a Bible College will either present Christianity or religion to the student. If what is presented is birthed from revelation knowledge, and the process in which it is imparted is through revelation knowledge (i.e. the Lamad Method) then Christianity, revelatory truth and the blessing have been imparted. If what is shared is from a reasoned knowledge base without incorporating revelation, and if it is imparted using reason, rather than revelation, then religion, rationalism, man’s traditions and the curse have been presented. Religion detracts from revival, renewal, and the move of God. Christianity spurs renewal onward.

* Knowledge that is received or transmitted through reason brings one under a curse.* Knowledge that is received or transmitted through revelation brings one under a blessing.

If you choose to teach Christian theology in a Bible school, I believe it must meet two criteria:

1. It must be theology that came from revelation knowledge and not reason; else it will be “the traditions of men.”2. It must be transmitted in a revelatory way (i.e. Lamad style education); else it will train the student to live out of and rely upon reason, which is the opposite of the way he must live if he is to succeed in renewal. In renewal one must live out of and rely upon revelation knowledge.

We have nothing against console games in general. Some of us actually use them to unwind after a day of hitting the PC hard in the office. However, we do expect certain standards from a PC title, one of which is that the PC version of a multi-platform release has to be better than its console brethren. This is really not negotiable.

There will be more problems with a PC title, we know we can usually expect that, but it should look and play better as well as contain some extra content if we’re lucky. PC hardware allows that to happen. However, in this case, the PC release of Rise of the Argonauts has fallen flat on its face. Down an open sewer.

The Horror

Perhaps we should start at the beginning on this one. The very first indication that something had gone awry was after the unnecessarily lengthy installation, when the very first screen after the obligatory intro credits said ‘Press Start’. There is obviously no start button on our keyboard that we can find but moreover this just screamed CONSOLE PORT.

Next, we hit the menu section to tweak some settings. The graphics options were much less complex than we are used to, barely anything outside resolution could be altered. The control configuration took a similar route and to our dismay, keys could not be remapped. There are three pre-set control layouts, it is that or nothing. More console copy paste.

Our initial foray into the game itself created a very bad impression. The graphics are supposed to be powered by the Unreal Engine, but the bland textures and barren scenery of the first level had us scratching our heads about where the Unreal tech was used. The camera is a bit of a mission on its own, not affording us the range of angles and movement we are used to; simply looking up and down is not possible.

The second time around, we’d hooked up an Xbox gamepad to try and overcome a few of the control hassles we experienced. Activation of God Powers is a nightmare on the keyboard, especially for a left-handed person like yours truly. Adding a gamepad suddenly makes the game playable, revealing how little was done to port RotA to the PC. The control menu switches to the default Xbox 360 layout, converts directly to the Xbox version of the game and control became much easier with a gamepad in hand. The camera still sucked though.

Once past the initial (bad) impression, the play through of RotA is not too terrible. There are some novel systems, with deeds (read: achievements) that can be dedicated to the gods in exchange for skill points. Dialogue choices can fill these god-meters too. These unlock upgrades and abilities that can be used in battle and the skill tree is pretty extensive.

The game is also not as bare and bland as it seems on first viewing. There are some very nice textures and effects later in the game and the FMV sequences also seem to get better as time passes.

Combat improves upon progression, though even from early stages it is mostly a repetitive affair. The only notable differences are the boss battles, which change things up a mite. There is a full RPG system in place, with party members that stay aboard the Argo unless you take them along for the trip. These would be the Argonauts of mythology. The game’s storyline doesn’t really bear mention.

It follows the myth pretty closely (for a given definition of close) and has the player taking the role of King Jason, trying to resurrect his love by obtaining the Golden Fleece. This leads to the next tragedy within the game: the never ending conversations. The dialogue scenes are too static to be really effective and the overall impression of the game is that there are short periods of combat followed by forty minutes of exposition and some bad acting. To add insult to injury there are tons of RPG-style side quests that involve running from point to point on the map.

Speaking of the map, there isn’t one. Not one that can be accessed outside the menu anyway, which requires pausing the game, loading the map and then setting off. There is also no HUD to speak of, meaning that one has to be careful around foes that deal massive damage or risk sudden and unplanned death.

The console version of Rise of the Argonauts has garnered poor reviews all over and the PC version has not fared much better. The biggest problem is that it has all of the faults of the console version as well as a few crashes. The really sad thing is that God of War II did this better, it looked better, played better and did it all with a PS2’s hardware.

The whirlwind of the holiday season is here and I wanted to wish everyone a very happy holiday. The holidays can be difficult for many people due to the tough economic times we all face. It is nice to know that the warmth of family and friends is truely all we need. The lack of material wealth makes us appreciate our true wealth of family and friends so much more. But not everyone has someone. So take the time to invite a neighbor who you know is alone into your home and share your warm celebration with them. This is also the time to volunteer at a homeless shelter or soup kitchen and bring hope to many people who are down the most. Sharing your time doesn’t cost you anything but is priceless to others and is one of the best gifts you can give.

The holiday season is also especially stressful from a diabetic point of view. Dealing with all of the temptations and bounty of an array of delicious goodies constantly set out before you can be difficult. I’ve learned some simple tips along the way and would like to share them with you. If you are going to be attending holiday parties enjoy a healthful snack before you go. This way you’ll be less tempted to over indulge in the foods you shouldn’t have because you won’t be as hungry. If you can, bring a dish to the party. Make something festive and wonderful that you know you can safely eat. I am sure the hostess will appreciate this gesture as well. By bringing your own dish you’ll be sure to have a delicious and safe choice at the party. When you do indulge in some goodies at the party limit yourself to a tablespoonful of each dish you want to eat. Give yourself the permission to enjoy these special foods and savor every moment of eating them. Take the time to think about what you would enjoy having the most before you go to the party. Choose three foods and stick to your plan. And of course make sure you drink plenty of water. Also think about having a wine spritzer instead of that glass of wine. To make a wine spritzer just add sparkling water or seltzer to about a half glass of wine. Add a squeeze from a lemon or lime for an extra boost in flavor. These tips lighten up your drink and taste so good. And by having less alcohol you may be able to stay in better control of your party plan.

Being home for the holidays is a joyful thing. I always picture the idealic scene of new fallen snow blanketing everything, the smell of wood burning fireplaces wafting through the air as the puffs of smoke drift under a grey-white sky and the warm glow from the twinkling lights on a beautifully decorated Christmas tree as the family gathers around. If you are preparing the holiday dinner or having a holiday party please be sure to check my blog for new recipes posted daily. You’ll find a variety of recipes for everything from soup to nuts as well as chocolate confections that make wonderful gifts for your favorite diabetic family member or friend. Home made confections are simple, inexpensive and are probably one of the most appreciated gifts you can give. Not only are you giving someone a sweet treat that the can enjoy guilt free but you are giving them a piece of yourself by taking the time. The recipes I create are not just for diabetics. My philosophy has always been “Eat, live and enjoy life” and I mean that. As part of the process of testing recipes I have conducted simple, unscientific, blind taste tests. The fact that these food creations were diabetic friendly went almost completely unnoticed by everyone. You can feel confident to serve my dishes to everyone and feel secure that they will enjoy them. I am also available by email to answer any of your cooking questions.Feel free to ask me your food questions or for help to solve your kitchen disaster.

As part of my thank you to everyone here for reading my articles I have made a slide show. It features photographs of all of my special sweet treats and desserts and it will make you drool. Please watch it and enjoy it. You can find it at:

Once again, my warmest wishes to you and your family for the holiday season and a very happy, healthy and prosperous new year to come. I raise my glass in a toast to you and thank you for your loyal support over the past few months and I look forward to sharing so much more with you in the coming new year.

Eat, live and enjoy life!

Happy Holidays,

1 introduction and preparation

In the third RuneScape Gold generation, also is the war era, runescape six brothers stood in the party, they have saradomin incomparable strength, and regarded as the existence of Mars, their deeds are listed in the tome runescape crumbled in book. They died after being buried place is now the barrow. The man went to barrow RuneScape Account heroes by weapons and armor, legends of power. It wasn’t so easy, six brothers soul will stop all invaders, so you will be overcome before they could get legendary strength. Remember, in both have coped with grave barrow into face you every 15 seconds give people a regular Sunday worship services, you kill suck the brother is sucked more, you throw a brother, later you a man give regular Sunday worship services will have a brother’s spell, you know popup will you give every man. How suck as regular Sunday worship services (not remember today civil projects, probably is 9-15, find people ask me) Six brothers level respectively is: Ahrim 100hp: 100def, 100magic, 70att combat (98), Karil 100hp: 100def, 100range combat (98), Guthan, Dharok, Torag, Verac 100hp: 100att, 100str, combat (115) 100def, Remember to accept barrow before acid off!!! Some people would be there to you by tele they killed!!!!!!!!!!

Rating requirement (suggest) : 43 and 70 + + regular Sunday worship services, magic, 50 + _ 55 + slayer (same), 70 + def (same) 50 + contruction (same) Priest: task needs in peril (art), p.y. (same Myreque search.com), Items: the spade!!!!!! Ectophial tele tablet, food or home for beginners, monkfish shark (regular Sunday worship services for veteran), pot (4) 2-4 cup for beginners, (zun generally 0-2dose enough, but just in case any more zun) with runes spell or blast for magicks. (dart slayer may armour, arrows, short _ armour and being linked to melee, staves,. I neither any wild:

Somebody puts forward the Suggestions ahrim, but my first, then the 80 def not give people a lot of barrow, buckle gloves as well, but I was too waste no =. = (152qp shield), can be used obby, runekite granite, DSQ, have high def, neither can close with regular Sunday worship services with ring seers, after all, you are into daily mage, (but I again no) =. =, still have changed in row improved both rune – linked to all ok with x, don’t try to wear rune. Armour is not good, bad. Wear barrow armour actually not fasten your upkeep, you make washing rune d and must earn returns with the cape. I zamorak cape, he 10magic +. 2 how barrows go? First you in canifus ready, then follow picture: (PPC) specific base runescape After finish in the Myreque search.com of canifus trapdoor, behind a bar to the south, the return after go to meet again, then even live tree, the bridge, and then, again, then to south, in the arrows at Morton, sailed to XiangDongHang again.

3 barrow six brothers (PPC) specific base runescape (I) slayer dart Slayer ahrim except by playing outside the dart five brothers, even karil, their magic defense is very low, so easy. If the combat hit with high enough to play karil. 90att suggest melee super + + super att above STR. (ii) or wind blast wave horses As with the slayer dart game actually, but to use another spell, according to the statistics, the slayer dart is informal easier. Magicks acient (iii) Use ice burst, blitz, brothers, melee barrage play first cast 1 times, he can play many burst with three times, barrage blitz 6 times, after four times, far less freeze again, he admits, machine, in this case, karil with melee hit. (iv) cannon What is the most easily, then set a cannon etc. He died in underground slowly, but remember, the surface is not so have coped cannon set plane! Don’t know what department have coped? You know, the words. But will play well slow, because the d melee brother against good high
