Mahogany has a commonly straight grain and is usually free of voids and pockets. Its color will darken over time, and displays a beautiful reddish sheen when polished. Mahogany is very durable and has a great workability which makes it as wood crafting and wood furnishings. This wood also resists wood rot, which suitable for boat construction.
