Could You Get A Palm Tree To Grow In Prescott, Arizona?
I am trying to come up with a landscape plan for my backyard. I really love Palm Trees and I know that they grow in Phoenix, Az. But I havent seen them near Prescott.

Oct 31, 09 at 5:28 pmI live in Massachusetts and have 3 palm trees growing. They are windmill palms ( Chusan Palms) and can take cold temps down to -15F. There are a few cold hardy palms that take the cold. Windmill palms grow in Canada, Switzerland and other parts of Europe. Try Googling Cold hardy palms and look up Oak Bay, Canada. Oak Bay is known as the palm tree capital with over 2000 of them growing throughout the winter and snow covered. They can reach a height of over 20 feet.

Oct 31, 09 at 5:47 pmI live in North Carolina. If they will grow here, they should grow in Arizona. Check with a reputable tree nursery or a local landscaper. Either should be able to help you.
