I would pick fruit trees with the longest fruiting season. Cherries have a very short season. You’d starve for most of the year.
Ones I know about are:
Coconut
Avocado
Orange
Breadfruit
I’m sure there are others that keep fruiting. Avocado would be great if you’re starving – full of fat and nutrients.
Of course, most fruit trees won’t grow on a dessert island.

Hm mm Let’s start with a coconut because of the milk and fruit factors. Orange tree, lemon tree (need lemon for flavoring fish!), peach tree, pear tree, avocado tree, banana tree, apple tree, mango tree, a grape tree! (I would hope to stumble upon a blueberry bush somewhere on the island!
EDIT: My husband just cruised by and said grapes grow on vines.. Not all grapes! So, I pulled up grape trees! he he he
